General Description:  1-mile (one-way) trail through multiple parks; follows Illinois River

OPAL’s Observations & Opinions:  
This flat trail follows the Illinois River and provides river views and access as well as wetland views and access.  There is also a nice view of the Peoria skyline.  It can be muddy after a rain and sometimes requires small stream crossings.  Some sections have wide boardwalks. Subject to Illinois River flooding. Know before you go.  Check Illinois River levels here.
