General Description: city park and river marina in heart of city; Peoria's only boat launch ramp

OPALs Observations & Opinions:  Once known as Detweiller Marina, this facility (as of January 1, 2019) ceased operation as a marina but the park remained open.  As of June 2022, the marina was operated by the 309Group.  As of March 2026, it is unknown who operates the marina and there is a proposal to purchase the park/marina by O'Brien Steel.  The multi-use park remains open and is adjacent to the marina.  The Rock Island Greenway (biking/walking path) passes through this park.

The Old French Village consisted of French settlers and was located near today's Detweiller Marina, 2 Caroline Street, Peoria.
