The lack of vegetation made it easier to appreciate the many and varied large trees. In fact we began to call it the preseve of personality-plus-trees. The trails are wide and well-marked with color-coded markers (yellow, green, red). However the trail maps do not necessarily match the trail markers. That being said, it was not difficult to navigate. There is a little something for everyone at Blackthorn, hills, creek crossings with small bridges, prairie and those wonderful trees. |
